Elsia L. Ferguson - a longtime resident of Pendleton, died Monday, September 20, 2010, in a local care facility. She was 85 years old. No Funeral Services will be held, but a Memorial Dinner will be held at 1:00 PM, on Saturday, September 25, 2010, in the Eagles Lodge #28 of Pendleton. Contributions in her memory may be directed to the Eagles Lodge Funeral Fund, and may be sent care of Burns Mortuary of Pendleton, P.O. Box 489, Pendleton, Oregon 97801. You may sign the guestbook or send condolences online at www.burnsmortuary.com Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Ferguson was born May 16, 1925 in Enterprise, Oregon. She was the daughter of George Herbert and Isa Seachris Wilson. As a child she came to Umatilla County where she was raised and educated. She raised her three children here in Pendleton, and had worked for nearly 40 years as a wool spinner for the Pendleton Woolen Mills. She married Earl Ferguson in 1980, and retired from the Woolen Mills in 1996. Mr. Ferguson preceded her in death in 1999. She greatly enjoyed sewing, reading, cooking, spending time with her family and shooting pool. She had been a member of the Eagles Auxiliary #28 of Pendleton. She is survived by a daughter LaVora Boltz of Pendleton, OR, a brother Fred Wilson of Pilot Rock, OR, two sisters; Nancy Mathews of Waitsburg, WA, and Barbara Peck of Pendleton, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Evelyn Lyons, a son James Frala, and one grandson Boomer Lyons.
