Erma M. Sheoships, a resident of Pendleton died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the home of her daughter. She was 61 years old. A Rosary will be conducted Monday, April 26, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. in the Burns Mortuary of Pendleton. Mass will begin at 9:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 27th in the St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Mission. Burial will follow in the St. Andrew Cemetery. You may sign the register book or send condolences at Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Sheoships was born August 29, 1948 in Pendleton, Oregon. She was the daughter of John and Dorothy Miles Shoeships. She grew up in the Thornhollow area and attended St. Andrew's School. She graduated from Athena High School in 1967. After High School she attended Haskell Indian School in Lawrence, Kansas from 1967 to 1968. She then returned home and began working as a CNA in the area. She married George R. Walks-On-Top on August 15, 1996 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She grew up riding horses most of her life. She loved watching horror movies, spending time with her grandchildren and taking walks with them. She had enjoyed many Seattle Mariner games with her husband and the road trips she took with him. She also enjoyed just sitting in her backyard and watching the scenery. Mr. Walks-On-Top preceded her in death in 1998. She is survived by four children; Elizabeth Butler, Jason Butler, Margaret Shoeships and Amanda John, all of Pendleton. She had six sisters and three brothers as well as eight wonderful grandchildren.

To my loving family... I'm so sorry to hear about "Poncho" passing away. Jason, Liz, Maggie and Amanda - I'm very sorry you have lost your mother. She was a very special person and will be missed.
