My thoughts and prayers go out to all of Kanine's family and friends during this very difficult time. I will forever remember his joy of salmon fishing and sharing his catch with my family. His mother would proudly brag about Kanine's pride in bringing home elk to help feed his family. These memories and more will forever bring joy to our hearts.

Kanine, We miss you. May the Lord bless you in the next life and bring you peace. I will remember how hard you worked in the weight room and your gentle spirit. I'm sorry you didn't get an opportunity to show everyone what you're made of, but that's ok because the Lord will bless you and give you love forever. You're a good kid and special to me. Love, Coach Hodges and Family

Ethel Mae & Family: I was so saddened to hear of your loss. I remember Kanine as a nice quiet young man who loved his family very much. Hold on to your memories, they will keep you when you need it. I will be praying for you and know that God is holding Kanine and I am sure that your dad was there to greet him as he crossed over. We love you and wish I could have been over there but our thoughts and prayers will be with you in these days and the days to follow. Love you Chris & Adam & Family.

:'- She calls to me In the virgin haze of the first morning's light, she sits at the mountain's base, and there calls to me. There in the mountain stream that braids through the rocks, and flows to the seat there she calls to me. In a soft summer wind, she is there. My arms raised high, I let her caress me with a familiar touch. And yet it seems a lifetime, since I felt this, there she calls to me. In the Chickadees sweet song, in the eagles mighty scream, and the Mourning Doves soft purr, she calls to me. As a warm spring rain covers my body, I taste her sweetness on my tongue, she calls to me. I lay my head upon her breast, and sigh. Her heart sings to my spirit. I feel the warmth of her body, she calls to me. With her skin on my face I catch her fragrance. A smile crosses my lips, my pain has disappeared, as she calls to me. She calls to me; "Come home my son, you have been gone long enough. Let me hold you in my arms and keep you safe for all time." I must go now my friends, I can no longer stay and play. I will miss you all. Mother Earth,......she calls to me.

I was blessed to have had Kanine as a student in two classes this fall and one up until he recently transfered. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. His thoughtfulness in sharing deer jerky that he smoked himself and bringing smoked salmon to class to share are memories that I will cherish. He also shared his love of the outdoors with his classmates and expressed interest in fishing - especially with his family. His kind, quiet character left a positive impression on all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

Ethel Jackson @family members: I'm so sorry to hear of the death of your son. I didn't know the young man but knew the Jackson family from which he came from, Leland Jackson. Your son has left sadness here in this side but is truly welcomed and with open arms at his new home among many loved ones there. Such as his paternal grandparents, Andrew and Ruth Jackson formerly of Kamiah, Idaho. God Bless and comfort you.

We were so sad to hear of Kanine's passing and offer our heartfelt condolences to his family. My husband coached Kanine at Stanfield and I would take our boys to just about every practice and game. Victor saw so much potential in Kanine and is so proud to have been able to coach him in basketball. Kanine was the kind of boy who seemed quiet and shy but you just knew he had a great big heart. He was such a good kid and is greatly missed. - Coach Victor Baros, Jr., Yolanda & sons
