Clifford John Dittus – a resident of Pilot Rock, Oregon died on March 16, 2010 at St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton, Oregon, following a short illness. He was 84 years old. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M, on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Community Presbyterian Church in Pilot Rock, Oregon, followed by interment at the Pilot Rock Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Clifford Dittus may be made to the Community Presbyterian Church, PO Box 668, Pilot Rock, OR, 97868. Clifford was born on June 10, 1925 in Fredonia, North Dakota to John and Emma Mund Dittus. He was raised and educated in Fredonia, North Dakota. He married Verna Palensky on October 18, 1953 in Fredonia. They had been married for 56 years. He was a lifelong farmer, and moved from North Dakota to Pilot Rock, Oregon in October of 1981. He attended the same church in Fredonia, ND from his birth until he moved to Oregon. In Pilot Rock he joined the Community Presbyterian Church, serving as a church elder. He enjoyed wood working and making things in his shop. He is survived by his wife Verna, at the home in Pilot Rock, OR, a sister Darlene Dittus of Encinitas, CA, sister and brother-in-law Ray and Mary Lue Slabik, of Pilot Rock, OR, nieces and nephews: Judy and Dennis Mueller, Billy and Cindy Dittus, Nancy and Dave Kracke, Bonnie and Bryon Entzi, Carol Talbot and several grand-nieces and nephews, as well as many friends and relatives in Oregon and North Dakota. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Emma Dittus, a brother Levorn Dittus, and sister Angeline Dittus.

We are sorry for your loss. Our thoughts nd prayers are with you and we hope you may find peace in God's hands. We have many good memories of Clifford. He was always so upbeat, smiling and happy.

My Mother Lorraine recently asked if I knew anything about Clifford and Verna. I googled your names and found Clifford's obituary. I'm so sorry to hear about Clifford. MY folks always enjoyed visiting with the two of you.
