Gina was my best friend. We hooked up when her and I both moved to Lapwai and we formed an ever-lasting friendship. We completed our GED together. I met my husband through Gina, he was her first cousin. I have 3 children now, all thanks to Gina. We grew apart a little when she relocated to Portland, but we were never apart really. - my heart has always been with her. When I did see her, it was like old times, we were like young girls, always smiling and terrorizing those we both loved. One time I was teasing her that she left me when I started having children and she said she never "left" me but that she lost her road-dog. I told her she still should have stayed and she assured me that I was fine, I was doing what I needed to be doing and she was proud of me - and her cousin Eric. I have so many memories and stories, and now that I was finally blessed to meet her boys, I hope I can share with them. I will miss her dearly. There will not be a day that goes by that I won't think of her.
