Roger Dean Brandhagen - passed away August 5, 2012 at his home after an extended battle with cancer. He was 74 years old. Roger was born August 18, 1937 to Joe and Lottie Brandhagen in Pendleton, Or. All of his school years were spent in Pendleton, and he graduated from Pendleton High School in May of 1955. He attended Oregon Technical Institute in Klamath Falls full time from 1956 until his graduation in June of 1958, with an Associate in Applied Science for Auto Body Technology. Roger served in the United States Army until his Honorable Discharge in 1966. He later attended Blue Mountain Community College part time from 1968 until 1971 earning an Associate of Science for Engineering Technology. Roger was employed by the U.S. Postal Service from 1966 until he retired in 1992. After his retirement he started Brand-ees, a lawn care and handy man business. Most recently Roger had been employed at St. Anthony's Hospital as a grounds keeper until his death. Roger was preceded in death by his father Joe Brandhagen, his mother Lottie Brandhgen, and a brother, Jay Brandhagen. He is survived by his wife, Deanna Brandhagen, his children, Lori Brandhagen of Washington, Judi Beck and, husband Brice of Declo, Idaho, Ron Brandhagen of Pendleton, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and numerous relatives. Memorial funeral services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. and will be in the Burns Mortuary of Pendleton. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity off your choice, The St. Anthony Cancer Center, St. Anthony Hospice of Pendleton, or Providence St. Mary Regional Cancer Center, in Walla Walla. Memorials may be sent care of Burns Mortuary, P.O. Box 489, Pendleton, Or. 97801. Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements.
