I was shocked and heartbroken to hear of Jim's passing. My thoughts and prayers have been with you that have been left behind. May you find comfort in your memories and may love and peace surround you during this tragic, dark time.

I met Jim about 1965. He was always a gentle man and had a sense of humor. He never ignored people, he always spoke and asked how things were going. I admired him for his principles and his honor. He was devoted to his family and he spoke of how proud he was of them. I am really glad that I got to know such a gentle man and scholar. There are not very many of them around. I want to say how sorry I am that he passed. He was and is a man not to be forgotten.

My sympathy is not even enough to tell you how much Jim will be missed. He was a good man. Jim was memorable always, he would make you laugh and then make you shake your finger at him the next moment! Always up for the gamble and in it to win it! I already miss him very much and he will be in my prayers! I send my love and sympathy to Irene, he was forever next to you and will be, forever. Much love to you all at this sad time.

I thought I first met Jim at Washington School when we were in the 5th or 6th grade. But, I notice the obituary says he attended St. Andrews. Maybe we met at Helen McCune Jr. High School. Jim was a good guy when we were kids and he stayed that way all his life. Condolences to the family during this time of sorrow. Sincerely,

I will always remember Jim and his smile and funny antics while keeping score for his co-ed softball team many years ago. My love and prayers go out to Irene and his family during this sad time. He will be missed but never forgotten, Gina
