My sincere condolences to the Bearchum Family. Cecelia was an amazing lady with a good heart and wonderful smile and laugh. She was in a sense a grandmother to me since her and my grandmother Emma were great friends. They would tell me stories of their upbringing and how things were in the old days which I will forever treasure. She was a beautiful person who will be missed by all... I can only imagine her and my grandma talking and laughing again while they watch over all of us. Love and Prayers to you all. Toeyex - She sings another song

I will miss a very good and dear friend. We talked often to one another at the Winter Ceremonies. I will miss her laughter and our way of joking around with one another. I will pray for the family left behind as I knew several of her children. With Love and prayers and her journey home will be a wonderful one and those who loved her while she walked on the Mother Earth and who passed on before her will rejoice that she is home. I thank the Creator that we honored one another for being friends.

Eleanor so very sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was such a gracious woman and I loved staying at your home when we were in high school. It was peaceful and safe. I wish I could be closer to be there for you and your family. I remember at Darlene's funeral and looking up and seeing you standing there, I thought I was having a vision at the time and there you were as always to give me support. My heart cries for you at your loss but my spirit knows that she is in a good place and will be there for you and yours helping and loving you in the spirit. Love you! Becki

She was such a generous, knowledgeable, beautifully gifted and intelligent woman--but we all already knew that--and so--we shall each wait our turn until we too journey to The Next Camp and we see her again. My heart hurts for you El and Brenda.

I am so sorry for her family's loss. Cecelia was an amazing woman; I had the opportunity to get to know her when she and I were at a travel tradeshow in London in 1999. She was one of the most kind and generous people I've ever met. It was an honor to have had the chance to meet her and share a friendship together.

Cecelia was always so kind to me. It was great to have met her. I enjoyed seeing her at the various pow wow's in Montana and meeting the rest of the Bearchum clan. She will I know be terribly missed. As I traveled across the US to various Education conference, I always met people who knew her and venerated her for who she was and her work with the language. My thoughts are especially with my nephew and niece, Jacob and Sydney, and their father Ben and Ben's brothers and sisters.

My deepest condolences to you and your family for the loss of your mother. When I heard my heart fell and memories of yesterdays came to mind. A traditional woman she was as my mother is. Although this gets to you months later I've always considered you a friend. Mothers are a precious treasure from God. I'll say a little prayer for you and your family tonight. God bless. Let's keep in touch.

Sophia,
My name is Jan Miller.  I taught with you at the Busby School from 1972-1976.  I just saw your Mom's obituary and wanted to send my condolences.   Your mom beaded a Umatilla cradleboard when I was expecting my first child, Sarah. It hangs on my wall still, a visual reminder of my years on the N. Cheyenne res.  And Sarah is 38!
Your mother was a gentle and strong woman, and I always appreciated her friendship and sense of humor.
I would love to see you again...I live in White Salmon and come to Umatilla on my way home from Montana each year.  I think of our days as a 4-5-6 team and count it as one of fondest memories.  Hope to hear from you.
Jan Miller
