Greg, Craig and Mike. I am so saddened for your loss of your mother. She was one of the kindest, most caring ladies I had the pleasure of knowing. I have a few pictures of her and Hank if you would like to see and or get copies.

I, Maurice M. Byrd, am 98 and 6 months old. I am sorry that I am unable to come to the Memorial at this time for several reasons. I first saw Janice when my beloved sister Lorena had stopped at the Byrds and was breast-feeding the baby Janice.
Fast forward in years to 1939 where I worked as a farmhand for Gordon Chapman on the ranch. Every Sunday Gordon would take the family out to my favorite mountains, the Blues. No other mountains compare to the Blue mountains. All the family, including Janice and siblings would have a picnic lunch which Lorena prepared.
Fast forward in years, I would call Janice, and she would pray for me in my minor crisis. She and Loralie were my favorite nieces. I shall miss her, but she has gone to a better place. Love to the family and all nieces.
