Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 29th at 5 p.m. in the Pendleton Seventh-day Adventist church.  Private Inurnment will be held at Skyview Memorial Park, Pendleton.  Contributions in memory of Pearl Holbrook may be made to Harris Jr. Academy, 3121 SW Hailey Avenue, Pendleton, OR 97801.

She was born June 15, 1923 in Oil City, Pennsylvania to William and Eva (Lindsey) Davis.

Pearl lived on the west side of Colorado during her youth years. The family moved several times because her father worked for the railroad.

She attended Campion Academy in Colorado her 10th and 11th grades, then moved to Grandview/Granger, Washington area where she met her future husband.  Her and Floyd Holbrook were married in Grandview November 26, 1946 and then moved to Pendleton.  Pearl worked at the Oregon State Hospital for a few years then stayed at home to raise their 3 children.  She then went to work at Harris Pine Mills for several years until her retirement in 1986.  She wasn't ready to stop working, so she became a substitute custodian for the Pendleton school district until she had a stroke at the age of 83

Pearl joined the Seventh-day Adventist church at approximately 15 years of age.  She also got her pilots license when she was 22.

Pearl loved to raise a huge garden, enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and puzzle books and loved to ride her 4-wheeler at Sandlake on the Oregon coast.

She is survived by a son Glenn Holbrook and wife Robin of Pendleton, 3 grandchildren: Nancy Quade of Hillsboro, Cindy Melashenko of Days Creek and Tony Holbrook of Boise, Idaho.  6 great grandchildren: Boston and Dalton Quade; Kayla, Kirk, Kira and Khitomer Melashenko.
