I can remember meeting Joan long ago, I was just a little boy then. We were next door neighbors. I know her siblings, and her children. Elsie and I offer our prayers and condolences to Joan's family. Like many songs written about the passing of loved ones, "she has gone to a better world." Rest in Peace Joan!

I will also miss your dear mother. I thought of her as a friend, and learned many things from her. I especially loved hearing her talk about earlier times. I will keep her and all of you in my thoughts. Jo Young

I have been her Beautician for many years, she was one of the most beautiful and loving person's I had the pleasure to serve. She will always be in my heart. May her passage to her place of rest be as wonderful as the memories I have of her.

Many fond memories of working with Joan when she was a active and vital member of the Umatilla Tribal Health Committee as it planned and established the Yellowhawk Community Health Center!

There are no words worthy to express sympathy to Joan's family, for the grief and heartbreak are painful. She joins her daughter and others who went before her and is embraced by the Creator. May the Creators love be with her family and friends as they learn to live without her. May the memories and moments of love she give them comfort in the days and years to come.
