Nora was married to our Uncle Bud, my mother's (Marion) brother, and she will be missed. God bless and our sincere condolences to John Hertel her husband. I don't know how she'll live without her. We love you Uncle Bud.

Such an inspiration to us all. Such a wise and wonderful woman. I always loved visiting with her and hearing about the latest educational adventure. They, both she and John, were such a marvelous addition to Blue Mountain Community College. They was nothing they couldn't undertake!

Nora was amazing--so smart and funny. I loved hearing of their (Nora and John) adventures to Bryce canyon; John carrying the day pack loaded with bird, rock, etc. books on their hikes. She had such a wealth of knowledge!
Nora and John were an amazing team---
Take care, John.

Dear John:
I am so deeply saddened by reading about Nora's passing. It always put a big smile on my face to see her name on my appointment books. What a great lady and truly wonderful person. We are so sorry for your loss.

Nora and John compiled and organized a collection of lessons of varied techniques and methodologies of teaching English as a Second Language of BMCC ESL instructors in the '80's; which included samples of the ones I use in my classroom.

We have corresponded yearly since then at Christmas time. We updated each other and she enthused on the excitement of my professional growth.
John and Nora's Christmas card always arrived early in December; but not this year.

My condolences to John and to her loved ones. Nora's excitement in acquiring knowledge and sharing it will always be remembered.
