Virginia was born May 15, 1952, in Spokane, Washington, to Elmer and Patricia (Poullen) Jones.  She graduated from Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, Oregon.  Over the years she had lived in numerous communities in Oregon and Washington, settling in Pendleton, Oregon, in 1990, where she resided until her death.  She was married to Alvin Seggerman from May of 1970 to 2004.  Virginia was engaged to Robert McDermott from 2005 until her passing.  She had worked as a waitress during her teen years.  She was a housewife for many years, until her children were grown and later worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for some time.  To her children, she was the greatest mom on earth!  Her hobbies included beading, sunbathing, knitting and scrapbooking, but her greatest joy was time spent playing with her grandkids.

She is survived by her fiancé Robert McDermott of Pendleton, OR, her children; Melissa Johnson & husband David of Pendleton, Michael Seggerman & wife Naomi of Pendleton, Shelley Segerman & Justin Sweringen of Pendleton, Patrick Seggerman & wife Dawn of La Grande, OR, and Amydee Seggerman of Pendleton, her sister Lorrie Fry of Portland, OR, ten grandchildren; Nicholas, Joey and Dalton Seggerman, Preston Brower, Gavin Kilmer, Zoie and Zach Johnson, Madison and Isaac Seggerman, and Ashley Jones, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin Seggerman, her parents Elmer and Patricia Jones, her sister Deborah Hughes and a grandchild, Hunter Seggerman.
