Wayne W. Wyrick, Jr.

March 3, 1926 – February 9, 2015

 

Wayne Weldon Wyrick, Jr. was born on March 3, 1926 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Walla Walla, WA, to Wayne Weldon Wyrick, Sr. and Clarisse Carter of Milton-Freewater, Oregon.

Wayne enlisted in the Army of the United States on March 2, 1944 and was stationed at the Army Air Force Base in Amarillo, Texas.

On September 15, 1946 he married Geraldine Helmick of Pendleton, Oregon.  They had four children: Cheryl Carr of Bend, Oregon; Carrie Lockhart of Pocatello, Idaho; Ted Wyrick of Pendleton, Oregon; and Connie Clement of Spokane, Washington.

Wayne is also survived by his wife, Helen, “Connie” Wyrick of Walla Walla, Washington, two sisters; Donna Jo Goold of Milwaukie, Oregon; and Patsy Jean Oliveira of Oceano, California, two grandsons; Scott Lockhart of Pocatello, Idaho; and Brandon W. Clement of Spokane, Washington; and two granddaughters; Rachel Clement of Spokane, Washington; and Jennell Robinson of Pocatello, Idaho.

Wayne was preceded in death by his first wife, Geraldine “Jerry” in 1980.  He married Helen B. “Connie” Hofer of Walla Walla, Washington, on February 14, 1981.  They remained married for 34 years until his death.
