October 16, 1943 – December 11, 2014

 

Charles E. Wilson – a resident of Pendleton passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014, at a local care facility after five-years of declining health.  He was 71 years old. 

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2014, at 10:00 AM at Burns Mortuary of Pendleton Chapel.  Disposition is by cremation.  The family will scatter the cremated remains at a later date.  Sign the online condolence book at www.burnsmortuary.com  Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements. 

Charles E. Wilson was born October 16, 1943, to George and Lucile Wilson in Vancouver, Washington.  He was raised and educated in Pendleton, Oregon, graduating from Pendleton High School.  On March 4, 1989, he married Lily Clayton at his mother’s home in Stanfield, Oregon.  He worked for Pendleton Sanitary Services for 34 years and after his retirement, went to work for Albertson’s Grocery Store for 5 years.  He was a Southern Baptist.  Charles enjoyed Camping and fishing with his son.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Lily Wilson, four children, two step-daughters, a brother, fifteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Lilly and Madison, we are so sorry for your loss. We will always remember Charles as a funny, happy guy always a pleasure to meet. He usually had that nice smile on his face that made others smile back. We are sure you will miss him greatly. Yours, Loretta and Randy Wells
