Carlos and family, I am deeply saddened to learn of Julie's death. Dave's colleague, Todd Zimmerman, shared the news with Dave today at school. My heart aches for you as you grieve the loss of a beloved wife and mother. Please know that Dave and I are thinking of you and praying for strength, comfort and peace.

Carlos and family- I have such wonderful memories of Julie. She was my best friend and the sister I never had. We drifted down rivers together, we fished for crawdads, we played with Barbie dolls, we went away to college together and spent time as roomies after graduation. Julie travelled to Pendleton, found the perfect man to take into her life and shared so much with the children she taught. We were all blessed to know her.

I was introduced to Julie in college by her close friend Debby Mayer-Gerdes. I was immediately drawn to her positive spirit and caring attitude for others. She was the true embodiment of an educator, friend and that special and unique individual that we are fortunate enough to be blessed to meet in our lifetime. My heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to Carlos, her sons and the family. Sincerely, Phyllis Guile

Dear Carlos and Boys, The Demianew family sends their prayers to you at this very difficult time. Our hearts are with you. Russ and I cant be with you this weekend as we will be in Seattle, watching the UW Softball Tourney that Kelli is participating in. She, especially, wishes she could be there with you but can't. I know we havent been your daily friends but want you to know that your family has always been thought of as true friends here in Pendleton, including in the school setting for all of our kids, both you and Julie. Carlos, if you ever need anything, you can always call us and we will be there for you. With prayers, Russ, Kathy, and Kelli

I am so sorry for your families loss. I was privileged to do Julie's hair for many years, and she was my daughters teacher, which I know was not an easy task, but she was so patient, and caring. You are in our prayers.. Caren Reed

My sincere condolences to the Montgomery family. My and Julie's parents were great friends, and I knew her in her youth. I admired Julie's academic accomplishments and respected her as a fine and caring person. To Doug and Janice, I am so very sad for you and can only imagine what it feels like to lose your sister. You have had a difficult few years, and I hope with all my heart you will be spared further tragedy in your lives.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Julie, Our family met Julie when our oldest daughter Julie was in 2nd grade at Sherwood, over the years I ran into her at the grocery store, etc and always enjoyed visiting with her. Only got to visit with her once at the Monthly Cancer Survivors luncheon at St. Anthony. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family. She will be greatly missed. Its a shocker to hear about someone that was always willing to help you during class has passed away. I came to her class not really knowing what to expect being new to the town all together, she was the first person to help me feel welcome. I will always miss a kind hearted person and hope Jesus welcomes her into safe arms.

Dear Carlos and family, We were shocked and saddened to see the article in the newspaper about your loss of Julie. You are in everyones thoughts and prayers. We know how much she was loved and will be missed even more. To Doug and Janice..We are all so sad at this time to hear of Julies passing. I remember very well the Henderson family and the big part they had in the growth of Grace church. We all have memories growing up together at Grace, like sunday school, bible school, your mother singing in the choir and the times your dad read from the bible plus the all projects he did around the church. It has been a tough few years for you both loosing your parents and now your beloved sister. Thank you for sharing her with us for so many years. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Our Love to you... The Tallman Family.. Linda, John, Dianna, Mark and our mother Jan

Dearest Carlos, I'm so shocked and saddened by the news of Julie's death. We never lived close enough for me to really get to know her but I know she was kind and a wonderful wife and mom. We recently lost Steven to cancer as well. It is devastating. Please let me know if there is anything at all I can do for you. Love, Maren, Brian and Charity
