Arthur Louis Webb Heay - 69 a resident of Thorn Hollow, Oregon died on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at his home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, March 26, 2010 at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Pendleton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at St. Andrew's Mission, followed by burial at St. Andrew's Cemetery. Arthur was born at home in Thorn Hollow on December 22, 1940 he was the son of Mary Webb and Stanley Heay. He was raised by his grandparents "Sol" and Amy Webb. He attended school at St. Andrew's and Thorn Hollow. Arthur enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1958 and was later honorably discharged. Afterwards he spent much of his time traveling around the country, spending time in many states, from the east to the west coast. He also spent time following the All Indian Rodeo Circuit, participating in saddle bronc and bull riding events with companions from Omak and Spokane. He eventually moved back home to Thorn Hollow, where he lived out his years spending time with family. He enjoyed watching sporting events such as football, and basketball, but his favorite was boxing. He enjoyed anything that had to do with the sport. Throughout his lifetime he made many friends far and wide. He is survived by his wife Dianna Picard of Walla Walla, WA, his daughter Candi Kinter-Heay and son-in-law Chris Williams of Mission, OR, step-sons Rod and Doug Olsen of Walla Walla, WA, his grandchildren; Angela and Auralia Heay, Andrew, Alex and A'Tish Williams, also of Mission, OR, as well as many other family members in Idaho, Washington and Oregon. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Webb, his father Stanley Heay, his grandparents Sol and Amy Webb, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
