I am at a loss for words. Twila was our friend, neighbor and much much more. She was the best listener. We spent hours talking, fixing the ills of the world. Its going to be a quiet, lonely place without her. Ralph and Carol McCall

I have known Twila since 1990 when I started working at DHS. Through the years I know she has been an icon in Human Services for the local area. I currently work at CAPECO where Twila was working as well. Seldom did we ever see her as she was always off and running to one center or another to make sure all was well. She will always be in my heart and she will be missed by many. My deepest sympathy to the family.

Twila, you have been such an inspiration to me. Thank you. I will never forget how you told me of how much satisfaction you got from your work, especially helping women. Your example as a single working woman has given me more help than you'll ever know. Thank you again. And God bless you and your family. Rest well, friend. Georgia

My Friend Twila, through the years since 1987, your example of your work ethics and caring for others, showed in everything you accomplished and did to help others. I will always cherish those memories at DHR when I was honored to take your place when you moved up the ranks to Salem. You, my friend, co-worker and mentor, was a great inspiration to me, to our older generation as well as to the younger generation. You listened with an heart and gave advise when we asked for it. I will miss you so very much, but you will forever be in my heart. God Bless and I know "He" will keep you in the cirlce of His arms. You are in Peace.

I consider it my honor to have known Twila for all these years. She was a no nonsense, straight forward, tell it like it is, lady. She also had a HUGE heart and cared about her family, friends, and those who were in need. I so admired her. I will miss her tremendously...our chats, another one of her brilliant ideas, her sense of humor, and let's not forget the "Maxine" jokes. My thoughts and prayers are with all of her family. God Bless.

I was thinking about Twila today so I googled her only to find out of her 2009 passing. Like others have mentioned, Twila was an amazing woman to work for. I was able to spend 1995 and 96 under her employ and I have such wonderful memories of her guidance and friendship. I'm sure Twila has arranged many a clothing and food drives up in heaven. God Bless you Twila!
