John W. Hall, a resident of Pendleton, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at his home in Pendleton. He was 65 years old. A private burial will be in the Olney Cemetery, Pendleton, Oregon. Memorials may be directed to either the Pioneer Humane Society or to the American Lung Association. Either may be sent care of the Burns Mortuary of Pendleton, P.O. Box 489, Pendleton, Oregon 97801. Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Hall was born August 13, 1944 in Colfax, Washington to Walter P. and Florence Mytinger Hall. He spent his early years in Kellogg, Idaho and considered it to be home. The family moved from Kellogg to Pendleton around 1955, where he attended Pendleton schools, graduating from Pendleton High School in 1962. He then attended Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, graduating in 1966. He married Carol Fager on December 3, 1966 in La Grande and they moved to Pendleton. He worked at Payless Drug and Pendleton Sport center for several years before owning and operating Hall's Trailer Court full time. He had enjoyed camping and cutting firewood before his health prevented it. He loved spending time with his family, and for the last several years playing and being entertained by his faithful Boarder Collie, Barney. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge of Pendleton. He is survived by his wife, Carol of Pendleton; three sons, Donald Hall of Casper, Wyoming, and Roger and Stephen Hall both of Pendleton. One sister, Marilyn Hall of Portland, five grandchildren and one great granddaughter also survive. He was preceded in his death by his parents
