Estella Mae Ersland

July 20, 1936 – December 17, 2012

Estella Mae Ersland rested with the Lord on December 17th, 2012 at 7:06 A.M.  Her final days were spent with family surrounding her.  She was 76 years old.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday, December 20th, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Burns Mortuary Chapel in Pendleton.  Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is handling arrangements.

Estella was born on July 20, 1936 in Rapid City, South Dakota, to Maude Oulman and Velmon Bailey.  She was raised by her mother Maude and step-father Wesley Smith.  In 1954 she married Carl Ricketts.  Together they had seven children: Donald, Steven Robert, Kenny, Kathy Karen and Johnathon.  The couple later divorced.  On October 3, 1979 Estella married Arnold Ersland and became mother to his two children Arnold Jr. and Michelle Lynn.

She touched the lives of four generations of family.  Her greatest joy was spending time with family.  She was proud of her family and loved each with all her heart; cherishing each moment she had with family.

She enjoyed the outdoors and long drives in the country. Personal activities she enjoyed were: bead working, crocheting and knitting.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She always bragged about her grandkids and great-grandkids.  She enjoyed Indian Flute music and Gospel music.  She loved the Lord and could be found always talking to Him.

Estella is survived by her husband Arnold at home, sons: Donald & Edith, Steven & Jazz, Kenny, Arnold & Treva, and Johnathon, daughters: Kathy & Clarence, Karen & Dennis, and Michelle, she is also survived by her twenty grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents: mother Maude, father Velmon and step-father Wesley, son Robert, grandson Joshua and many aunts and uncles.

To my grandmother with love...
I love you Grandma,
but i know that you knew,
i'll cherish our time together,
and i will miss you.
I'll think about u,
every night and day,
forever in my heart,
is where you will stay.
I owe u some time,
and time I will pay,
give me a continuance,
i'll compensate you one day.

I Love you Grandma
