May you Rest In Peace Eddie! I am a former schoolmate of Mr Eddie James from St Andrews School days. Date back to the 50's.
I recently composed a story along with a photo of all of the St Andrews School basketball team from 1950 something.
I brought it to his house to share with him. His daughter told me that he was resting and couldn't be disturbed. Too bad, I hadn't seen Eddie for years before that.
I offer my sincerest condolences to the Eddie James family.

I was very happy when the boys from St Andrews finished grade 8. That meant the Saint Joe's basketball team would be receiving some excellent talent for the high school team. Eddie had the flattest, low arc jump shot I have ever seen. I believe it was developed in the gym at Saint Andrews with the low ceiling. He made it drop at just the right moment it was over the basket. I have many fond memories of Eddie. He is alive as long as I am alive. Peace and comfort to his family.

Eddie personified enthusiasm. He played basketball with speed. He was a team player. I was four years behind him in school. Eddie's grin was a permanent friendliness that displayed his nature. Eddie filled a place no one else can perfectly replace. Knowing that Eddie walked on is a reality of life. Knowing Eddie and his wonderful happy attitude is part of the reality he shared with me and the world of people who gained the privilege of knowing him.
