Eldon Dale Post 77, of Pilot Rock, Oregon passed away Sat August 12th, 2017 at Kadlec Hospital in Richland, Washington.

Eldon was born in Clark, South Dakota on December 12th, 1939. He was the 5th child to parents Henry and Arlene Post of Crocker, South Dakota.

 Eldon moved to Pilot Rock, Oregon in 1956 with his 2 brothers Leland and Harvey Post.

Eldon met Alma June Anderson in 1958 and married her on December 24th of 1959.

For over 30 years starting in 1966 Eldon worked for Louisiana Pacific where he earned the highest honor in fork lift driving. He even got his picture in the newspaper. 😊

Eldon loved Pilot Rock and the outdoors. He would make a point to take the long way home when traveling home from Pendleton or going to get the mail. His Favorite spot was sitting up by the gun club and looking at the scenery of the town.

Eldon is survived by wife Alma June Post of 58 years and his two dogs Charlie and Starr: Three children Randy Dale Post and wife Cathy Post of Lovelock, Nevada; K’lene June Harrison and husband Wes Harrison of Pendleton, Oregon; and Lisa Dawn Landers and husband David Landers of Pilot Rock, Oregon.

4 Grandchildren Terry Halcomb of Nampa, Idaho; Travis Liebschwager of Boise, Idaho; Tara Herbison of Coos Bay, Oregon; and Alycia Herbison of Boise, Idaho: 2 great grandchildren Jeffery and Drake Halcomb of Nampa, Idaho.

Also surviving brother Larry James Post of Illinois; sisters Darla Geane Lehna and Darlene May Post/Novak along with numerous nieces and nephews. Sister in-laws Jan Post of Pendleton Oregon, and Martha Post of Yuma Arizona.

He was proceeded in death by parents Henry and Arlene Post; brothers Leland and Harvey post and sister Idella Morehouse and brother in-law Maynard Morehouse.

There will be a celebration of life Sat August 19th, 2017 at 11am at 911 SW Cedar St, Pilot Rock, Oregon 97868. Flyers have been put up in the town of Pilot Rock with the address of the location of the service. It is a Potluck so bring your favorite dish/drinks and your fondest memories.
