Tammy J. Ellis - a resident of Pendleton, died Monday, July 4, 2011, at her home. She was 47 years old. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 8, 2011, in the Burns Mortuary of Pendleton Chapel. Interment will follow at Skyview Memorial Park in Pendleton. Officiating at the services will be Pastor Keith Wise. Viewing will be between the hours of 3:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 7th and will also be in the Burns Mortuary of Pendleton. Donations in her memory may be directed to: the American Cancer Society, or the American Diabetes Association, and may be sent in care of Burns Mortuary of Pendleton, P.O. Box 489, Pendleton, Oregon 97801. Mrs. Ellis was born May 8, 1964, in Moses Lake, Washington. She was the daughter of Harold H. and Donna M. Massick Schultz. The family later moved to Dayton, Washington, and then to Athena, Oregon, in about 1976. She graduated from Weston-McEwen High School in Athena with the class of 1983. She married David W. Ellis on February 8, 1986, in Pendleton. She had worked for a time at Rogers Canary in Milton-Freewater, OR, and later at Bi-Mart in Pendleton. Most recently, she had been a sales clerk at the Pendleton Woolen Mills. She enjoyed spending time with her family as well as shopping and being a homemaker. She is survived by her husband David Ellis of Pendleton, OR, children; Michael J. Ellis and Tasha Mae Ellis both of Pendleton, OR, three brothers: Ron H. Schultz and John Schultz, both of Pendleton, and Harold Schultz of Spokane, Washington, and a sister Diane Ingle of Pendleton. She was preceded in death by her parents.
