Donald E. Carrigan - a resident of Pendleton, died Sunday, September 5, 2010 at his home. He was 59 years old. Memorial funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pendleton, Oregon. Memorials in memory of Donald may be directed to the American Diabetes Association, and may be sent care of Burns Mortuary of Pendleton, P.O. Box 489, Pendleton, Oregon 97801. Mr. Carrigan was born September 18, 1950 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was the son of James M. and Wilma L. Brown Carrigan. His father was in the Navy and the Air Force, and Mr. Carrigan lived in various areas while growing up. In 1980 he married Shawna Jones, and they later divorced. He married Patricia Holst in 1989. He had lived in Hood River from 1989 until 2006. While there he had worked for the School District as a teacher's assistant. He and his wife moved to Helix, Oregon in 2006, and later to Pendleton in 2009. He greatly enjoyed fishing, reading, and playing games on his computer. He is survived by his wife Patricia, ex-wife Shawna, a daughter Carol Ruise, son Jeff Carrigan, step-sons; Wayne Lucas and Billy Leininger, step-daughter Deanna Messer, brothers; Mike and David Carrigan, a sister Mary Carrigan, 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Billy Carrigan, and two sisters; Pat Blaschko and Bonnie Foley.
