Doris Mae Cooley - a resident of Pendleton died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in a local care facility. She was 78 years old. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 18th, at Willowbrook Terrace, in Pendleton. Sign the register book or send condolences to the family at www.burnsmortuary.com Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Cooley was born June 4, 1931 in Portland, Oregon. She was the daughter of Lloyd McKillip and Agnes Parks. She was raised and educated in north Portland in the St. Johns area. She was a stay-at-home mother until her second divorce. She then worked as a waitress in Portland and later in Garibaldi. She had also worked as a clerk in the drug store at Rockaway Beach. She had been active in the Lions Club of Rockaway and Garibaldi. She had helped for many years to design and build from scratch parade floats for Garibaldi and Rockaway Beach in Tillamook County. She enjoyed gardening, animals and spending time at the beach. She is survived by dear friend Lorraine Vandecoevering of Garibaldi, daughters; Alice Stoneman of Pendleton, Nancy Letson, Judy Ericksen and Linda Raney, fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by; a son John Stoneman, a granddaughter Amanda Raney, husbands; Alva Stoneman, Harry Hinsdale Don Davis and William Cooley. She was also preceded in death by her close friend Bill Bachman.
